River Visit
16th Oct 2024
P7S went to the River Faughan today to meet Michael and Jack from the Loughs Agency.
We saw quite a number of salmon jumping. This is because there is plenty of food in the River Faughan for the salmon.
A few samples of the river were taken and we could see a number of water bugs - a good sign of a clean river.
We learnt the importance of having clean rivers so we finished our lesson with a litter pick. Some items found included; bottles, car headlights, masonry, plastic sheets, tins and fishing line (with hook still attached).
