Mummifying tomatoes in P6T:
During our Anciet Egypt topic, P6T have been learning about the mummification process. This is where the body of the dead person was preserved so that they could reach the afterlife. We used tomatoes to help us understand the mummification process.
Step 1: Clean the body
Step 2: Make an incision on the body and remove all organs except the heart.
Step 3: Clean the inside of the body.
Step 4: Stuff the body with Natron (Table Salt & Bicarbonate of Soda)
Step 5: Place the stuffed body inside a zip seal bag.
Step 6: Put a few spoonfuls of salt into the zipped bag.
We are going to review our mummified bodies in 2 weeks time to see if there is any change.
