Everyone was busy designing and then constructing land yachts in class today. This was an opportunity for the pupils to use tools such as handsaws and glue guns as well as balsa wood to construct their chassis.
Many skills are needed; measuring, sawing, glueing, testing and following instructions. Apart from a brief overview, the pupils took charge of their learning and had to use their own dimensions. An enjoyable lesson.
