P7. Mrs Hegarty

Here we are in our last year at primary school, it’s going to be a good one.
#making memories

We have been testing paper ‘helicopters’ to see if a small one or a large one would fly the furthest.

We tested them on a very windy day and our measuring skills were also tested.

On the whole the larger ones went further when the wind caught them.

In October Jimpy the goldfish came to live in our classroom

We we had a brilliant trip to the River Faughan today.  Michael from the Loughs Agency taught us about the variety of life that make their home in the River Faughan and how we can help to protect this habitat.  To get the little bugs up from the river bed we had to do the river dance.

Watch us riverdance

We had great fun in assembly, Mrs Cooke read her favourite chapter from Matilda, we took part in BBC Live lesson featuring well known authors Malorie Mlackman, Rob Biddulph and Cressida Cowell and finished the day off with a game of “Guess Who”
